EntreFEST reveals hybrid format for 2021

Attendees will be able to choose between attending in person or virtually when two-day event returns June 10-11

Cedar Rapids, IA (March 29, 2021) — EntreFEST returns in a hybrid format for 2021. The two-day conference that celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurialism and innovation will be held June 10-11. This year, both in-person and virtual tickets are available.

“Whether you want to attend in person or virtually, we have an EntreFEST for that,” says NewBoCo Chief Operating Officer Jill Wilkins. “When you purchase your 2021 EntreFEST ticket, you will be able to choose the format that is best for you.”

The first round of speakers has been announced at https://entrefest.com/about/speakers/. Site visitors can see the current list as well as additional keynote and speaker announcements.

In order to make in-person attendance possible, EntreFEST event staff has watched and researched other events throughout the pandemic to identify best practices. Staff has also held conversations with public health officials to gain more insight.

Organizers will work with all venues to provide a consistent safety policy throughout the event.

In-person attendees will receive a health assessment prior to the program. It must be completed before arriving on site. State and local government restrictions, as well as venue restrictions, will also be in place. Attendees will be required to wear facial coverings and social distance within the venue.

EntreFEST Staff will continually evaluate restrictions/guidelines for events. We will adjust them as plans progress and additional information is available. Please check the website for updated guidelines. (For more details about why we’re doing a hybrid format, safety and ticketing questions, visit Why Hybrid – EntreFest.)

Organizers are also advising those who plan to attend in-person to purchase tickets sooner rather than later, due to limited in-person tickets.

“If the current health situation in Cedar Rapids changes and anyone is not comfortable attending in person, we will work with attendees who have purchased an in-person ticket to transfer their ticket to virtual,” Wilkins says.

Since there are a limited number of in-person tickets available, organizers are asking attendees to notify event staff of any changed plans by Wednesday, May 26.

Whether attending virtually or in person, attendees will be able to ask questions and interact with speakers directly during their sessions. Scheduled activities like happy hours and live entertainment will get the same hybrid treatment, offering attendees a chance to unwind with entertainment.

“We’ve put a lot of work into making sure EntreFEST will be a fulfilling experience whether you are here in person, or in a virtual setting,” said Ms. Wilkins. “Now more than ever, we want to keep the entrepreneurial and innovation communities connected and invigorated so they can share ideas and support one another as we all rebound from the past year.”
