You could get to know a great entrepreneur as they build Iowa’s next startup success story! We bring entrepreneurs from around the world to Cedar Rapids each year to get their start in our 95-day program that runs from August 3 through November 5. While the teams create and collaborate during the day in our office, they need a place to call home for three months in Cedar Rapids or the surrounding area.
This host family program is a new opportunity for the Cedar Rapids community to connect with our teams and support our region’s growing startup scene.
This is a voluntary program and host families receive no monetary compensation from Iowa Startup Accelerator or from the startups. However, host families do receive several benefits including:
- Reserved tickets and seating for our Launch Day event on November 5th
- Invitations to team barbecues
- Invitations to hear certain speakers and panelists
Although it’s not a requirement to become a host family, the ability for a family to provide an entrepreneur with available transportation is appreciated.
