1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids is a weekly gathering where entrepreneurs, business leaders, and the community come together to learn, connect, and share ideas over coffee. Each free Wednesday morning event features a founder story, expert insight, or candid conversation, followed by a thoughtful Q&A that sparks collaboration and honest feedback. This week’s special session: Adult CoderDojo
During the school year K-12 students are exposed to gamified coding activities, robotics, drones, circuit building and more through our programs; now it’s the adults’ turn to learn! We’ll have stations throughout Gravitate for you to visit and explore. Participants will also learn more about the upcoming projects and events our education team has planned, in addition to volunteer opportunities.
About CoderDojo: NewBoCo’s CoderDojo program offers free STEM exploration opportunities for K-5 students in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and the surrounding areas. Rotating stations include topics such as game design, animation, robotics, engineering, electronics, and coding. New subjects are regularly added, keeping the programming dynamic and engaging for returning participants.
