Iowa Startup Accelerator Doubles Staff in Second Year

As the Iowa Startup Accelerator gets its second program underway, it has doubled the size of its staff with its newest hire for Director of Development Kaitlin Oswood.

“ISA is barely more than a year old, yet we are gearing up for tremendous growth. Kaitlin is a huge addition to a team that has doubled in size in the past year and is making an enormous impact in our community,” Managing Director Eric Engelmann said.

Oswood joins the ISA team with more than three years of fundraising experience as the Development Officer Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and the Director of Development for Summit Schools.

“ISA is filled to the brim with talented individuals and compelling stories, and I aim to share this culture of ingenuity with the broader public and motivate people to give to something that truly matters to our region,” Oswood said. “As the Director of Development, I hope to implement a more strategic approach to fundraising for ISA by engaging the community, increasing major gifts, focusing on corporate donations, and honing-in on opportunities for grant funding.”

Prior to the start of the 2015 program, ISA brought on Jessalyn Holdcraft as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator in May. Holdcraft is an Iowa transplant who recently graduated from Simpson College with a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish.
