About Girls Who Code Club

Girls Who Code Clubs are spaces where girls can join our sisterhood of supportive peers and use computer science to change the world. When you join a Club, you will learn with adults in the industry, practice new skills by completing fun and engaging projects, and build community through interactive activities with the rest of your Club.

3rd – 5th grade:

Our 3–5th Grade Clubs help build the foundational skills and understanding of computer science concepts and sisterhood through reading discussion and coding activities. In order to build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build fun projects to share with friends and family.

6th – 12th grade:

Our 6–12th Grade Club provides even more hands-on opportunities to learn and practice computer science concepts and sisterhood. Students will start transitioning to typed coding languages and take on projects as a team to work on collaborating and problem-solving together.

When? Club members will meet on Saturdays from 12:00 pm–1:00 p.m. until Dec. 9th.
Where? NewBoCo space at 415 12th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids.
