Event Series Event Series: Girls Who Code 3rd-5th Grade Club

Girls Who Code [3rd-5th Grade Club]

September 21 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Girls Who Code

Building Sisterhood and Making an Impact!

Where? At NewBoCo, 415 12th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, 52401
When? Meetings will start Saturday, September 21st, and will run for 10 weeks, finishing Saturday, November 23rd for the fall session. Meetings start are from Noon – 1:00 PM.

What can my child expect? Our 3–5th Grade Clubs help build the foundational skills and understanding of computer science concepts and sisterhood through reading discussion and coding activities. To build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build fun projects to share with friends and family. Club meetings will be led by mentors, and students will participate in community building activities and coding projects with the goal of building a strong support system for young, female identifying students.

We just ask that students commit to participating in as many sessions as possible during a 10 week session.
