Code.org + Science

 Explore the CS Connections modules that are designed to integrate computer science concepts in other subject areas, including science. This session will focus on the science modules: Simulating a Marine Ecosystem and Modeling Animal Adaptations. 

In the modules, students use programming to create simulations of scientific phenomena. This could include modeling ecosystems, chemical reactions, or physical systems to explore how they work and to test hypotheses.

Open to 5th-9th grade educators.

 

Cost breakdown:
One Workshop: $30

Four Workshops for one educator will receive a $20 discount.

Four workshops for up to 10 teachers from a district would be a discount of $100 to be $1,100 total.

CS Modules:

 NewBoCo Education, in partnership with Code.org, is excited to offer four virtual training modules for 5th–9th-grade educators across the country. These sessions are designed to empower teachers with tools and resources that bring computer science into their classrooms through engaging, hands-on units.
