Business Startup Speaker Series: Administrative Basics (with Julie Lammers)

Join us in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, Sept. 27 for our ninth session on Administrative Basics for Starting a Business.
Session Learning Objectives:
Once you know you are going to start a business there are some administrative and operational steps to get registered, licensed, and “officially” established. This engaging module will discuss the first steps to establish and launch a business from selecting a name and undergoing the legal formation, to licensing, opening a bank account, and customer discovery. Participants will learn valuable information and hear about other helpful startup tips and resources to get open for business.

Julie Lammers, President, Lambro Business Services
Julie Lammers is a champion of the entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow. She provides coaching and mentoring services to entrepreneurs and economic development centers, including the Iowa SBDC, Marion Chamber of Commerce, and the Goldman Sachs10KSB program. She is President of Lambro Properties, a commercial investment company and Lambro Business Services, a business consulting company. Julie sold her privately owned group of stores (Coffeesmiths) to a top Midwest franchisor, Scooters Coffee in 2016. Her areas of expertise are in retail: food and consumer products, process development, business plans, business pitches, and employee engagement. Julie also enjoys her role as an Adjunct Instructor at Kirkwood Community College, teaching our next generation about business concepts and entrepreneurship.
