At SteerClear Mirrors, our mission is to enhance safety and efficiency in skid steer operations. We specialize in aftermarket side-view mirrors designed specifically for skid steers, addressing the challenge of limited visibility for operators.
Skid steers are a popular piece of heavy equipment used across a variety of industries & trades, such as construction, landscaping, farming, road work, snow removal, excavating, and more. With a wide range of attachments (buckets, augers, forks, tillers, etc.) and their compact size, skid steers are touted as versatile and maneuverable machine that many consider an essential part of their equipment fleet.
Despite their versatility, skid steers encounter a significant problem: limited visibility for operators. This insufficient visibility leads to increased incidents of collisions with structures, other equipment/vehicles, materials, or most severe of all, people.
Courtney McClellan and Mike Flynn, founders of SteerClear Mirrors, are looking for general feedback on their product idea and on their presentation as a whole (are there questions they aren’t answering, problems they may not have considered, etc.).

About 1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids
The Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups (1MC) on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. We welcome early-stage businesses and established companies facing interesting challenges to present their companies. Typically, one or several representatives present before a panel of experts. They seek advice and then engage the audience in a question-and-answer session to encourage collaborative and honest conversations. We also feature expert speakers, founder fireside interviews, and explorations of business failures and the lessons learned!
The Cedar Rapids chapter is the sixth in the U.S., and events take place every 2nd & 4th Wednesday. Every event is free, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!
