After Successful Launch, DeltaV Code School Begins Registration for Second Round of Courses

Cedar Rapids, IA—DeltaV Code School, Iowa’s premier code school for adults, has begun registration for its first 102 course in addition to the second offering of its 101 course. The program, powered by Cedar Rapids-based NewBoCo and Seattle-based Code Fellows, is aimed at helping local professionals build software development skills in high demand throughout Eastern Iowa. DeltaV successfully graduated its first set of students from its 101 class in December 2016.

Unlike traditional Computer Science degree programs, DeltaV offers condensed curriculum in an intensive bootcamp setting, allowing students to rapidly grow their skills and quickly return to the workforce. The focus and intensity of the Code Fellows curriculum is unmatched in the State of Iowa, filling important gaps in the state’s workplace development efforts.

“If we want our region to be prosperous and competitive, we have to nurture local talent and create an environment that supports them,” NewBoCo Executive Director Eric Engelmann said. “Eastern Iowa has to invest in its own people if it wants to retain the best talent. Programs like DeltaV give Iowans the chance to grow and advance without leaving the community.”

The introductory 101 and 102 classes currently seeking enrollment give prospective students an idea of the rigor and pace of the more demanding higher-level courses offered through DeltaV. The 101 class is a one-day session introducing students to software development, while the 102 class, a two-day course, focuses on the basics of Javascript.

Students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. More information on the courses can be found at http://www.deltavcodeschool.com/.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row]
