Girls Who Code

6th-12th Grade Club

Girls Who Code Clubs are spaces where girls can join our sisterhood of supportive peers and use computer science to change the world. When you join a Club, you will learn with adults in the industry, practice new skills by completing fun and engaging projects, and build community through interactive activities with the rest of your Club.

When? Meetings will start Saturday, February 3rd, and will run for 10 weeks, finishing Saturday, April 13th for the winter/spring session. We will skip Saturday, March 30th for Easter weekend.

Where? At NewBoCo, 415 12th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, 52401

What can my child expect? Club meetings will be led by mentors, and students will participate in community-building activities and coding projects to build a strong support system for young, female-identifying students. There are no fees, and we just ask that students commit to participating in as many sessions as possible during a 10-week session. No prior experience with coding is necessary!
