CoderDojo

December 18, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Elementary-aged students gather around computers at NewBoCo while a volunteer teaches them about programming.

Every first and third Saturday, NewBoCo hosts free STEM programming for K-5 students!

These events are designed for students to explore and mentors to guide their learning and problem solving. Mentors will introduce an open-ended activity and be present for help and guidance. They’ll engage students through questions and by inviting them to share their projects during the process. We want to excite young learners about STEM and empower them to see themselves “in STEM” through these activities.

The activities rotate and include engaging topics such as:

  • game design
  • animation
  • robotics
  • healthcare
  • and coding

Our goal is to foster creativity and encourage children to enjoy learning new topics!

Registration is free thanks to our generous sponsors, but donations are welcome and enable us to continue offering these opportunities free of charge for all kids!
