Vault is a coworking community, giving entrepreneurs and creatives a place to thrive: a high quality work environment, conference rooms, coffee, high speed internet – and a network of Vaulters with experience to help you with business, technical, creative or other challenges.
We’ve designed several ways for you to join our community:
- Day Passes are ideal for occasional users or visitors to a limited set of amenities.
- A Community Membership is an annual membership for users who need access a few days a month.
- A Resident Membership provides a full array of services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Vault Community and Resident members have the ability to upgrade their membership with private offices.

A shared desk is a desk that you’re able to use during your work session, but when you leave for the day, you need to take everything with you so that someone else can use it.
Reserved desks are yours to use indefinitely. If you have monitors or equipment, a reserved desk is strongly recommended.
Access to coworking space
Day pass and community-level members only have access during normal business hours (generally 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday). You’ll need to sign in at the front desk upon arrival. For security reasons, the building is locked after hours. Resident members can get 24/7 keycard access to the building.
Vault conference room, phone booth, and recording studio reservations
Vault has one large conference room, three smaller “phone booth” rooms and a sound-deadened recording studio available for use.
Other room reservations
The building has other rooms available, including the Foundry Lab classroom, conference rooms in the Iowa Startup Accelerator, the 100+ seat cafe, and additional conference rooms on the first floor that can be used by Resident Members for larger meetings at no cost.
Resident members get access to super-fast – up to gigabit – wireless internet provided by sponsor ImOn Communications. Other users ride our much more modest guest wireless access.
Kitchen & cafe privileges
Coffee for everyone, of course. But resident members also get access to a free cereal bar, fresh fruit, soda, tea, and often, home-baked cookies and other snacks. Residents can also cook their own food in our gorgeous kitchen.
