More about CoderDojo. \n  \nThis Sessions Special Guest: Korriban Squad of the 501st Legion\nJust days away from “May the forth be with you”\, we want to celebrate Star Wars by bringing the Korriban Squad of the 501st Legion. The Legion promotes interest in STAR WARS and facilitates the use of these costumes for STAR WARS-related events as well as contributes to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work\, with the Korriban Squad representing the local chapter. In addition to celebrating with the Korriban Squad\, we will encase a Star Wars character\, Han Solo into oobleck\, which is a mixture of cornstarch and water and then briefly frozen. This curriculum\, for grades 6-10\, is an engaging\, hands-on dive into the worlds of computer science\, music\, and problem solving. \nCost breakdown:\nOne Workshop: $30\nFour Workshops for one educator will receive a $20 discount.\nFour workshops for up to 10 teachers from a district would be a discount of $100 to be $1\,100 total. \nCS Modules:\nNewBoCo Education\, in partnership with Code.org\, is excited to offer four virtual training modules for 5th–9th-grade educators across the country. Familiar is a sanctuary for humans and cats alike\, centered on connection and belonging. As cat cafés grow in popularity across the U.S.\, Familiar offers a unique twist: a welcoming space where healing\, intention\, and adoption come together. \nFamiliar will serve refreshments\, highlight local artists and businesses\, and feature a dedicated cat room where visitors can interact with adoptable cats. By partnering with a local rescue\, Familiar will play an active role in facilitating cat adoptions and reducing shelter overcrowding. \nAbout the Owner: Founder Kat Sung (they/them) is a Korean adoptee with a background in psychology\, crisis services\, and spiritual healing.
