DESCRIPTION:1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids is a weekly gathering where entrepreneurs\, business leaders\, and the community come together to learn\, connect\, and share ideas over coffee. Each free Wednesday morning event features a founder story\, expert insight\, or candid conversation\, followed by a thoughtful Q&A that sparks collaboration and honest feedback. Open to everyone and always welcoming\, 1MC is where challenges are explored\, lessons are learned\, and ideas move forward together. Learn more about 1 Million Cups. \nThis week’s presenter: Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP)\nThe Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) is a youth exchange program that was initiated by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in 2007. It has since brought over 2\,700 promising Iraqi and Kurdish students to the U.S. to develop their leadership skills and foster intercultural connections\, strengthening mutual understanding between Iraq and the U.S. \nDuring their program in Iowa\, the students will be going through intensive educational and skill-building workshops where they can engage with the community and grow in their leadership skills while creating community-based projects that deepen their knowledge and ability to implement them upon return to their home country. \n\n\nStandard Program Schedule: \n\n8:30-9:00 a.m. Coffee and Conversation\, Informal Networking\n9:00- 9:40 a.m. Introductions and Presentations\n9:40-10:00 a.m. Presenter Feedback\, Q&A\, Community Announcements\n\n\n\nShare with a friend or colleague:
