About the Series
Interactive Games and Projects for High School Students is a professional development course designed for high school educators teaching a general Computer Science course and/or Computer Science Principles. In this training, we will develop various projects in Code.org’s App Lab that teach students to use variables, conditionals, and create functions at an introductory level.
Each project will be taught at an introductory level suitable for first exposure of the concepts while also including opportunities for advanced students to extend the complexity. Teachers will leave with working code that can be expanded by students into larger projects. Educators will explore strategies for integrating projects that reinforce key programming concepts while fostering creativity and problem-solving.
