Engage Students with Computer Science and Creativity

Computer Science Discoveries (CS Discoveries) is an introductory computer science course that empowers students to create authentic artifacts and engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem solving, and fun. The Computer Science Discoveries Professional Learning Program includes 9 days of facilitation, curriculum guide, ongoing support, a Circuit Playground Classroom Kit, and stipends for each workshop day.

Inspire and Build

Appropriate for 6–10th grade students and can be taught as a semester or year long introductory course (3-5 hours per week of instruction for 9+ weeks). The course takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. The course inspires students as they build their own websites, apps, games, and physical computing devices. Code.org’s curriculum is available at no cost for anyone, anywhere to teach.

Hear from Real Teachers

"When I first embarked on my journey into the world of computer science last summer, I was apprehensive and more than a little overwhelmed. I want to thank you for all that you have done to make this a rewarding and positive experience. I appreciate your patience, flexibility, enthusiasm, and commitment to bringing CS to ALL students."
